This is Rob at Johnny Rockets, an old fashion burger place in Mall of America
For our 2 year anniversary Rob took me to McCormick and Schmicks, my favorite! He also got tickets to WICKED!!!!!!! but that isn't until August. This is us after walking home, a little hot :-)
This is Courtney, me, and Kristy- we all met our first Sunday at church. It has been fun walking, laying out, and doing projects with them. We've made more friends since this, too.
A group from church went to Hells Kitchen for Farien's birthday. It was a unique choice- you walk downstairs to get to the restaurant- which comprises multiple rooms. There was a live band and if you have to go to the bathroom- check out the eyes of the photographs on the wall...
This is one of the projects I helped work on! Court had an old table and chairs that she didn't particularly like- so we "antiqued" them! Home Depot workers are fabulous at explaining how to do such projects! We were novices- but now- we are pro's- here is one of the finished chairs!
We went on a double date to the Sculpture Garden- it was fun and free- my favorite :-)
On the same date we visited Loring Park- this big fountain looks just like a dandelion
A different weekend we went to the Stone Arch Festival. Local artists bring their art and jewelry to sell. It stretches for miles (or what felt like miles). Rob found his "jackpot" at the end- a bunch of vintage cars- that boy loves cars...
Rob and I actually have family in Minneapolis. Rob's cousin Ryan lives here with his wife, Kiley. We wanted to spend time with them because they are moving soon to Chicago. We went to dinner at The Tin Fish which is on Lake Calhoun. After, Courtney and Pete met up with us we went on double Kayaks! This is Kiley and I at The Tin Fish.
Rob and I on the double-kayak. I sat in the back because I wanted to be pushed into the lake-however, this was not such a good idea. Turns out the back is for the stronger of the pair- luckily, Rob just rowed harder so we got around just fine :-)
This is the group after!
There is so much more I could write about- but this is already long. If you made it to the end of this post- way to go! I am excited to document and share the rest of this summer adventure on the blog- for now though, I'm out!
